In a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Zeenat Aman, the legendary Bollywood actress once reflected on her debut day on a film set back in 1970. Sharing a captivating monochrome photograph on Instagram, Zeenat transported her audience to an era of charm and elegance.

In the vintage snapshot, Zeenat dazzled in a shimmering silver jacket embellished with chic black collars, her smile exuding warmth and grace. Reflecting on the image, she fondly recalled the extravagant fashion choices of the 80s, where each garment seemed to narrate a tale.

Remember her first ever day on the sets of a film, Zeenat wrote - “Poofy hair, an exaggerated collar, and a whole lot of sparkles. This picture just has to be from the 80s. It was one of those test shoots one does for fun, and that snazzy jacket was my prized possession at the time.

Let me rewind a little further and share an anecdote. The very first day that I walked onto a set in 1970, I looked around and was taken aback by how dull it all was. Wires snaked across the floor, heavy camera machinery was propped up on rusty trolleys, men ran hither and thither shouting instructions and ferrying supplies. It was nothing like I had imagined.
“But where’s the glamour?” I exclaimed. OP Ralhan, my director, just smirked and drawled, “Babusha, YOU are the glamour”.

From her humble beginnings as a model to her rise as a celebrated actress, Zeenat Aman's career is a testament to her talent and perseverance. With memorable roles in timeless classics like ‘Laawaris,’ ‘Don,’ ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna,’ and more, she captivated audiences.
