In a recent development, we have exclusively learnt that actor Zain Khan Durrani has joined the cast of the film,
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Directed by Santosh Singh, the movie is based on Ruskin Bond's short story '
The Eyes Have It' and boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Shanaya Kapoor, who is making her acting debut, and Vikrant Massey.
Zain Khan Durrani is known for his performances in films like
Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz, and
Aamis.In
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Shanaya Kapoor plays a theatre artist, while Vikrant Massey essays the role of a blind musician. The film’s screenplay has been penned by acclaimed writers Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla.
With the film's shooting already complete, the makers are now gearing up for a mid-2025 release.
Zain, who was last seen in
Mukhbir and
Bell Bottom, didn’t comment when we reached out to him. Earlier in a press statement, Vikrant spoke about joining the movie, “Playing a lover boy is an exciting challenge, and the scale of

Shanaya, on the other hand, in the same statement added, “It’s very exciting for me to be sharing the screen with Vikrant in such a heartfelt and original story. My character is very close to my heart - she’s strong, emotional and vibrant. And I am grateful for this opportunity.”
