Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh says he is ready to die, shares he now lives alone and depends on strangers for food
Reflecting on the moment his first wife Shabnam and son Yuvraj left home, Yograj described it as the turning point that shattered his world. He later remarried and had two more children, but he says they too eventually left, leading him back into a solitary life.
Reflection on choices
In an interview with The Vintage Studio, Yograj Singh recalled how cricket and cinema provided temporary direction but could not fill the void. He explained that life moved in circles, returning him repeatedly to the same emotional emptiness. He admitted that the shock of losing his family had long-lasting effects, making him question everything he had built. While he expressed gratitude for the opportunities that came his way, he also conveyed a deep sense of unresolved grief about the relationships that slipped away.Living alone and surviving on kindness
Today, Yograj says he lives alone with no family members around him. The house helps and cooks who previously assisted him have moved on. He revealed that he now survives mainly because strangers offer him food during the day. Despite the harshness of his circumstances, he refuses to blame anyone and keeps his expectations minimal. He expressed affection for his family but emphasised that he does not ask anything of them.
