Yuvika cries harassment

Actress Yuvika Chaudhry has filed an FIR against a Delhi-based pimp for sending lewd messages from a fake social networking account
Yuvika cries harassment
Yuvika Chaudhry is not amused. The actress — who shot to fame when she made her debut in the 2007 film Om Shanti Om and followed it up with her debut in the Sandalwood hit Maleyali Jotheyali — was livid when she discovered that a Delhi-based pimp named John had created a fake account in her name on a social networking site and sent out lewd messages saying that she is “available” for `5 lakh.

Yuvika even claims to have received text messages and calls from John, who has been harassing her for the past two weeks.
“I didn’t know how he got my number, but it was very shocking. He has been harassing me big-time and I have stopped taking calls from unknown numbers now. I have been warning people not to pay any attention to these messages for the past one week,” says Yuvika, who has now deactivated her account on the site. What has also shocked Yuvika is that an account on a micro-blogging site has also emerged in her name. “I never tweet and my friends were shocked when they saw this account,” she says.
That doesn’t seem to be the end of Yuvika’s woes — the actress was also involved in an incident when she was followed in her car by someone who also stopped to bang on her windshield. Yuvika has since filed two FIRs — one for harassment and another regarding the incident of alleged stalking.
However, the actress is not overly perturbed by these incidents and shrugs them off as coming with the territory of being an actress. “I guess it happens in every actor’s life. We should be more cautious. My duty was to tell the police, but otherwise I am not so worried,” she says.
Her last outing at the box office, the Govinda-starrer Naughty @ 40, flopped, but she has put all that behind her and is busy shooting for Khap — A Story of Honour Killings. “It is a very challenging project and I researched case studies about these incidents in Haryana,” she says. Would she consider doing more south films? “I am not in any hurry at the moment, but I looking for interesting scripts,” she says.
