Yogesh Khinchi goes B'wood!
Here’s yet another youngster from Jaipur trying his luck on the silver screen. Jaipur lad Yogesh Khinchi, a choreographer by profession, went for the auditions of the movie “Yeh Faasley”, and the very next day, it was confirmed that he had a role in the movie.
Yogesh shares, “I was given a dialogue during the auditions for the role of Kamaljeet in the movie.

And the next day, I was told I’d been selected for the role.”
The young actor elaborates, “It’s a wedding scene – the wedding of the actress’ friend to my big brother – and I enter as one of those lafangas who constantly teases the actress. It’s a qawwali sequence, wherein I keep irritating the heroine, so much so that the situation snowballs into a fight. Because when I give her a letter, the heroine’s father, that is, Anupam Kher, notices that and confronts me. After that, there are a few fight scenes in the movie and yes, Anupam Kher bashes the hell out of me. Though my role is not big, I am proud to be part of the movie.” The director of the movie, Yogesh Mittal, believes that Khinchi is a fine actor. He says, “Yogesh actor achha hai and he is fairly confident too.” Adds he, “Ek loafer type banda chahiye tha and we thought that he would fit into that role well.”
Residing in Jaipur’s Shastri Nagar, Khinchi, a 25-year-old choreographer-cum-actor, has recently finished choreographing a Rajasthani movie, “Chabili” by Gagar Baddmuda. Says he, “I belong to a musical family as my late father was a music director and my brother, Sunil Rahi, is a singer.” And as for dancing, he says, “I have participated in many stage shows with actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Shweta Salve and many more.” And yes, after his small role in “Yeh Faasley”, he has bagged roles in Manoj Pandey’s “Sea” and the film “Stop It”, directed by a German.
About “Sea”, all that Yogesh explains at this point is, “The movie shows the life of children, and how their life changes.” Well, with that meagre description, we guess we’ll just have to wait to see it, then!
