Actor
Yash, did not hold back on any details while getting fans hyped up for the release of his upcoming epic '
Ramayana. The actor, who plays the leading antagonist, Ravana, has been making headlines for the past weeks, thanks to his tell-all interviews with the foreign media, dropping details about the upcoming film directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
In a new clip going viral on social media, the actor is seen in a rather candid chat with a member of the foreign media, and offering fresh insight into the action sequences in 'Ramayana'. When asked about one of the film’s most ambitious and 'crazy' stunt scenes, Yash picked Ravana’s battle with the mythical bird Jatayu.
Speaking about the high-octane sequences, Yash said, "There are many (action scenes), but if you have to draw a comparison, there is one which is the fight with the bird called Jatayu. It is the king of birds. It is a massive bird. There is an action sequence between Ravana and Jatayu. That is going to be crazy. But of course, it is created with the help of visual effects."
The sequence draws from the ancient epic, and the bird even features in a glimpse in the opening scene of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Rama' first glimpse.
Yash further teased, "He’s Ravana, he’s the best warrior, he’s got so many powers. You have to see it to believe it. The way the scene unfolds it’s magic and full-on commercial action sequence, with the bird in the sky, with the Pushpak vimana, the lotus-shaped flying object, it is going to be spectacular."
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is being mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. As per reports, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will voice the legendary Jatayu.
'Ramayana' Part 1 is slated for a Diwali 2026 release and 'Ramayana: Part 2' is slated for a Diwali 2027 release.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
