Name the first song you ever attempted to sing?

The first song I ever attempted to sing… I think it was ‘If you’re not the one’ by Daniel Bedingfield. It was for a school competition.


Name the title of a song that fits as the title of your biopic well?

That should be the Sultan (2016) soundtrack… because that’s my mindset every day, all the time.


What's the one caller tune that stayed constant for a longer duration on your phone?

It was my song ‘Tu na mera’ and it stayed on for 5 years because I forgot to change it until recently.

At your next live concert, the opening song you sing would be?

Fursat! It’s a song that is very close to me.

What’s the one romantic track your fiancée Carla Dennis and you enjoy listening to and Why?

That should be ‘All of me’ by John Legend. It’s our song. She loves it and I love it because she loves it.


Name a Bollywood number you wish to see yourself perform on the big screen?

Well, there are two of those – ‘Kun faya kun’ (Rockstar) and ‘Agar tum saath ho’ (Tamasha).

A musical instrument one will always find in your bedroom?

No instruments are allowed in our bedroom. Carla is very insistent on me keeping the music in the living room. Otherwise, I don’t end up sleeping!


A musical instrument you are eager to learn soon? Why?

Drums! I think I’ve been such a melody oriented guy. I want to change my perspective for a while and see what happens.




Name a song that will stay evergreen always and forever for you and why?

That should be ‘Tu hi re’ from Bombay (1995). I heard it when I was really young and I found myself listening to it over and over again even though I didn’t realise the real depth behind it. It’s been a constant in my playlists for 25 years.
