Aahana Kumra: Women in Delhi are go-getters, feisty & edgy

Despite being born and brought up in Mumbai, actress Aahana Kumra says that she can travel across Delhi and Gurgaon on her own and she takes great pride in that. The actress, who has done TV shows like 'Yudh' and 'Agent Raghav' and films like 'Lipstick Under My Burkha', was in Delhi recently to walk the ramp at the FDCI presents Amazon India Fashion Week SS 2018.
She told us that she visits Delhi often, not just for work, but also to meet her relatives and friends in Gurgaon."I have relatives living in Delhi and Gurgaon, so I have spent a lot of time in the city, but lately, due to my work commitments, I have only been coming here for a day," said Aahana.
Whenever she is in the city, she visits her relatives in Gurgaon and always ends up spending more time in Delhi. "There are so many places to go in Delhi and I love Hauz Khas Village. I like Gurgaon too, but somehow I have always spent more time in Delhi. I keep travelling between the two cities and I think the Metro is the easiest way to commute, given the kind of traffic one has to face while travelling from Delhi to Gurgaon. Some people in Delhi complain that the Metro is always crowded, but as I am from Mumbai and I also travel in Mumbai locals, the crowd doesn’t bother me. When I was shooting in Delhi for Agent Raghav and I had to meet a friend in Cyber Hub, the easiest way to reach was by the Metro. It would have taken hours if I had driven and so I boarded the Metro and reached Cyber Hub in 45 minutes," said Aahana.

The actress feels that over years, women in Delhi have become much bolder. "As I meet women in Delhi and also women who are from Delhi and are now in Mumbai, I feel that they have become really bold. I know how circumstances for women in Delhi are and women here can be very feisty and edgy," she said.
