Will this be Rani's year?

Honestly, the winner of 2011 could well be Rani Mukerji. She starts the year with a spectacular performance in No One Killed Jessica. Rani’s role of the television anchor (rumoured to be inspired from Barkha Dutt and many others) is spitfire.
All of 4 feet 11 inches tall, Rani shows that dynamite comes in small packages. As Meera, the unscrupulous scribe who demolishes everything that comes in between her and grabbing eyeballs, Rani is in a league of her own.Guess when Shabana Azmi patronisingly said, “Rani is fantastic actress,” the yesteryear legend could see shades of her youth in this Bengali tigress, whose amber-coloured eyes are her best screen weapon.
Aditya Chopra may be the best thing that happened to Rani personally. But professionally, rumours linking Rani to Adi is harakiri. Should this 31-year-old actress have just concentrated on her career, she may have given her first cousin Kajol and Kareena, two of the finest actresses of this current lot, a run for their mascara!
In No One Killed Jessica Rani is in top form and likely to be up for awards and rewards. She is also a favourite with Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman. And will have another big-ticket release with Aamir in 2011.
