Will SRK's RA.One beat Salman's Ready?
RA.One's collections in the second week have come from 90 cr to 18 cr yet it stands a chance of beating Salman's Ready collections in the domestic market because today is a bank holiday
Shah Rukh Khan's RA.One has had a tepid run at the box office because the investment on the film is very high. Eros and SR maintain that the investment is 135 cr; but the market talks of a reported 162 cr as the final landing cost.
1x1 polls
However even if the film is termed "average'' by trade pundits, the monies of RA.One compare to the box office returns of some super-hit films like Ready. And by end of its tenure RA.One will find a place for itself amongst the highest box office grossers as far as Indian theatrical collections go.
A trade source informs, "3 Idiots collected 102 cr; Dabangg-74 cr; Bodyguard 72 cr; Ready-64 cr, Ghajini-58 cr, Golmaal-3-56cr; Singham 50 cr. These are net collections and are very close approximations. Now chances are that Ra.One could cross the 64 cr mark of Ready. Or come to a photo-finish with this Salman film. Only time will tell. Either way it will definitely be above Golmaal-3 and Singham.''
Interestingly Salman and Shah Rukh who are constantly fighting for one upmanship will once again find themselves locked in battle.
