Will Shah Rukh Khan join the makers of 'Pushpa' after completing 'King'? Here’s what we know

Fans are eagerly waiting to watch Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen in his much-awaited movie 'King', directed by Siddharth Anand. Amid ongoing rumours about the film's cast and crew, new reports have taken the internet by storm, suggesting that Shah Rukh is joining hands with one of the leading Telugu production houses, known for successful pan-Indian projects like 'Pushpa'.

According to Pinkvilla, industry insiders have suggested that the Jawan actor will not be collaborating with Mythri Movie Makers any time soon, as he is currently occupied with King. They dismissed the reports.



A source close to the actor clarified that there is no association brewing between SRK and the production house at the moment. “Shah Rukh Khan is presently focusing and putting all his energy into King. He will make a decision on his next project after King, by the end of this year. He has not had any meetings with Mythri, so the matter of greenlighting a script doesn’t even arise,” the source stated.


Shah Rukh's future plans

The insider further revealed that the actor’s commitment to 'King' will continue until the first quarter of 2026.

Although many scripts and films have been offered to SRK, he is determined to complete King before considering other offers by the end of 2025. No offers from Mythri have been made to the actor so far.

'King', directed by Siddharth Anand, promises to showcase SRK in a powerful gangster role. The report further stated that the Pathaan actor will be seen in a much more massy avatar compared to any of his previous films.

King will also feature Suhana Khan in a key role alongside her father, Shah Rukh. Names such as Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, and Jackie Shroff are doing the rounds on the internet for their reported roles in the movie. However, no official confirmation regarding the cast and crew has been made.
