Being subtle is the key for director R Kannan. His debut vehicle in Kollywood Jayam Kondaan starring Vinay (of Unnale Unnale fame), Bhavana and Lekha, is all set to release this month end. It is a feel-good film, he says. The message of the film is everyone can do everything!
Produced by Sathya Jothi Films, the movie was shot in exotic locations including Uzbekistan.
The place where we shot a song in a mosque looks like Madras thirty years ago, says the director.
Its an image makeover for actress Bhavana, who has dubbed in her own voice in Madurai slang. She plays the role of Annapoorni, a college girl who excels in sports, and a lot of effort has gone into her costumes. Vidyasagar has scored the music for this flick, which is said to contain all the ingredients of a family-based love subject.
Jayam Kondaan is the production houses 14th film. For the debutant director, teaming up with this house is surely a memorable experience as they produced his mentor Mani Ratnams first Tamil film Pagal Nilavu way back in 1985. Kannan has worked with the ace director in movies such as Kannathil Muthamittal, Yuva and Guru.
