When asked if he sees himself being cast in a story written by his wife, Ayushmann says, “There is this dormant feminist in her. She will write something about women and there will hardly be any space for me. So far, she has written two scripts, and both are women oriented.”
Is producing the films an option? Would he like to don producer’s hat for his wife and ensure her debut film is off to a great start? “I am making a conscious decision to not produce it. I think that if someone else produces her first film, it will be more credible and it will put her in a better position.” Now, that’s what a caring husband sounds like, right?
