A day after announcing his upcoming film '
Freddy
', to be produced by
Ekta Kapoor and
Jay Shewakramani,
Kartik Aaryan announced that he had begun shooting for it in Mumbai on August 1. Taking to his Instagram stories, he shared a picture from the film's set and alongside the snap, he wrote, "Now shooting #Freddy."
Kartik did not disclose the name of the heroine. But ETimes has it first and exclusive that, as things stand today, it's going to be
Alaya F, who will join him on the shoot soon.
A source says Alaya F is on board since Day 1, maybe a few modalities with her are being worked out before she signs on the dotted line. There were a few other names that were discussed but right now Alaya F is clearly leading the race in question.
ETimes also has it that Alaya has a meaty role in the film and she was mighty pleased when the said offer came along.
Ekta Kapoor and Shashank Ghosh jointly chose Alaya F, they both strongly felt that she would fit the role to the T.
This is the second time that Ekta has asked Shashank to wield the megaphone, the first being in the Kareena Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor-Swara Bhaskar film 'Veere Di Wedding', which proved to be a hit.
