Why was Anushka Sharma’s NH10 trailer missing from PK?

Anushka Sharma was reportedly keen that the trailer of her next film, 'NH 10', which she’s also producing in association with Phantom Films, be attached to her recently released 'PK'. Reason being that the Rajkumar Hirani film was the last big ticket release of 2014 and that would guarantee the promo of her maiden production venture getting a ready audience. However, it seems that wasn’t meant to be.

According to an industry source, Eros International, that has acquired the film, wasn’t too happy with the trailer.Our informer explains, “It was barely a few weeks prior to the release of 'PK' that the makers of 'NH 10' decided to attach their film’s promo along with the former. So due to the limited time, the trailer was cut in a bit of a hurry. When the corporate saw the promo, they felt some improvisations could be made. Since the first trailer plays an important part in the promotional campaign, the corporate house decided to defer the launch.” Director Navdeep Singh and his team are said to be working on another trailer. If it’s ready and approved by the makers, then it will be attached with Tevar, Eros’ next release.

Our source says that the movie revolves around a night-long journey. “The makers want to keep the thriller aspect intact and hence they don’t want to reveal too much about the story. That’s why the way the trailer is being cut, is taking time,” says our source.
