Why Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2' teaser has internet screaming 'Scam hogaya'?- Explained
Every movie buff in the country has been eagerly waiting for updates on Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Their prayers have been heard, as the makers dropped the ‘Dhurandhar 2’ teaser today, February 2. But the cinephiles are now screaming ‘Scam hogaya’. Why does the internet think the new teaser is a scam? Well, according to them, the new teaser has nothing ‘new’ in it. From the scenes, its arrangement, to the music, the makers have repurposed the post-credit scenes of 'Dhurandhar 1' in the new teaser of 'Dhurandhar 2'.
The teaser has taken the internet by storm. But as always, the internet did what it does best. It memed! Social media platforms, especially Instagram and Twitter is flooded with posts on people reacting to ‘Dhurandhar 2’ teaser.
"Scam kar diya re scam," wrote a netizen in the comments section of the teaser on YouTube. "Kat gya sabka. Already seen in part 1," another agreed. “Scam hogaya,” a third joined.
An X user wondered why the post-credit scenes were shown in the teaser. “@AdityaDharFilms bro, everyone who went to watch #Dhurandhar has watched the end credit scene. Teaser mein 'Dhurandhar 2' ka glimpse chahiye tha!” the X user wrote.
Another commented, “Bro showed credit scenes of Dhurandhar 1 as a teaser for 'Dhurandhar 2'. Lol.” “We wanted something new in the teaser… we have seen this in the film itself…” another complained.
While content creators are rushing to monetize on the trend, one X user felt that the makers' strategy of not disclosing the plot of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ was right on point. “Every creator capitalising on 'Dhurandhar'. When I searched for 'Dhurandhar 2' teaser on YouTube, all the starting recommendations are review all are uploaded within minutes after the teaser. Lol teaser ne ta sabko chuna laga diya. No leakage of story,” the post read.
A section of netizens also came to the defense of the makers. “I don't get why the people are so fed up when the same teaser they released, which was in the post-credits of part 1. Releasing the same teaser, it officially is mainly about confirming the release date. Marvel and DC do this all the time, and no one questions it. Even ‘Toxic’ followed this approach without revealing anything there main target was the release date. This is basic marketing. Let's just enjoy the teaser, guys.”

Another requested that the makers follow the same pattern during the trailer launch and stay away from giving away any spoilers. “Relax guys part 1 was itself a teaser for part 2... the movie will be great,” another said. “A request to Aditya Dhar. Please don't give any spoilers, no matter how you make the trailer, I want to watch the movie in the theatre, not in a teaser.”
