Why Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon want to please Akshay Kumar

Social media went into a tizzy recently when Akshay Kumar featured in a dance video with Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon. The superstar lent support to the actor’s upcoming film Luka Chuppi’s song, Poster lagwa do bazaar mein, a redux version of Akshay’s Yeh khabar chapwa do akhbar mein from Aflatoon (1997). When we met Kartik recently and asked him about shooting the number with Akshay, he said, “I am a huge fan of Akshay Kumar. I have always loved the kind of action-comedy he has done in his films. He’s brilliant with it. I think it was sheer luck that we got a chance to use his song from Aflatoon for Luka Chuppi. I just hope he likes what we have done in the song and I hope Kriti and I have done justice to it, too.”

Speaking about reprising Urmila Matondkar’s moves from the same number, Kriti said, “I have had a lot of fun shooting for this song. As a child, I had first watched it on TV and I have continued to enjoy it through the years, but I had never imagined that one day I will get the chance to feature in its redux version. I also think that Akshay sir is really sweet, because he sportingly shot a dance video with us on the new version. I’ll be eagerly waiting for his feedback, fingers crossed.”
