Why is Vicky Kaushal mum on Rakesh Sharma biopic?

Any other actor would jump at the mere hint of being cast in a film like 'Saare Jahaan Se Achcha' which is based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, especially since it involves replacing an iconic actor like Shah Rukh Khan in it. But actor Vicky Kaushal, whose name has been bandied around as the actor replacing Khan in the film, is being tight-lipped about it, nor has he denied the reports. He reportedly said that it is the prerogative of the director and the producers of the film to make the announcement.

Vicky is, however, quite gung-ho about discussing another biopic, which he signed recently. Based on the life of

, he reportedly says that the film is a dream come true as he always wanted to play the revolutionary figure and what's more, work with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar who will be directing the film.

'Saare Jahaan Se Achcha', to be directed by Mahesh Mathai with Siddharth Roy Kapur as the producer, has been in the news for quite a while now. It was first announced with Aamir Khan in the lead. The actor, however, got busy with other projects and stepped out of it. The film was then announced with Shah Rukh Khan, but reports state that he backed out of the film following the failure of his last film 'Zero', which was an ambitious project for him.
