Before becoming a Bollywood sensation, actress Shraddha Kapoor had a surprising and humbling start to her career. This widely unknown part of her life, recently revealed on her LinkedIn profile, includes her time as a barista at Starbucks and a sandwich maker at Einstein Bros Bagels while she was a student in Boston.

Between October and December 2005, she took on the role of a barista at the popular coffee chain, Starbucks. After recently joining LinkedIn, Shraddha shared in her profile, “I was the worst and slowest barista in Boston. I want to find all the customers and apologise.” Following that, from January to March 2006, she worked as a sandwich maker, proudly mentioning, “Made bagels, really good ones.”

Shraddha’s studies in psychology at Boston University were interrupted when she was offered a role in her first film, ‘Teen Patti’ (2009), which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. Though the film was not successful, her breakthrough came with ‘Aashiqui 2’ in 2011, which launched her career. Since 2009, she has been listed as a self-employed actor on her LinkedIn profile. Most recently, she appeared in ‘Stree 2’, which became the highest-grossing Hindi film in India this year. Before that, she starred in the hit romantic comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.

A few days back, when she initially created her LinkedIn profile, it was mistakenly marked as fake. Expressing her annoyance with a touch of humor, she posted on Instagram, “Dear LinkedIn, I’m not able to use my own account because LinkedIn thinks it’s fake. Can someone please help me?”

On the work front, Shraddha has many new projects coming up. Her next movie is a period drama directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Filming will start in November, and the movie is expected to release in 2026. She has also signed a deal to work on several films with producer Ektaa Kapoor. One of these movies will bring her back with Aditya Roy Kapoor. She is also going to work on a drama with Rahi Anil Barve, the director of ‘Tumbbad’. Besides this, Shraddha is talking about joining the next ‘Dhoom’ movie. There are also talks about her working again with Ranbir Kapoor after their hit movie ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.
