Mallika Prasad is an actor, director, educator, and theater artist. Born in Bangalore, Mallika Prasad has earned a master's in performance making from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She later joined the National School of Drama, from where she earned a postgraduate diploma in acting.

She made her debut in films with the 1999 film 'Kanooru Heggadithi.' She made her debut as a lead actor in 2001, with her role in the film 'Guptagamini.' She is a household name for the Kannada audience, and some of her works include 'Mussanjaya Katha Prasanga,' 'Garva,' and 'Magha Mayuri.' She has appeared in the Konkana Sen and Manoj Bajpayee series 'The Killer Soup.' She has worked in Anurag Kashyap's ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.’ Mallika Prasad also helmed a short film, 'For My Ela,' which won the Outstanding Achievement award at the Sundarban International Film Festival and LA Indie Short Film Festival.
