Who is Khushboo Patani? Meet the former army major, fitness coach, and Disha Patani’s inspiring sister

While the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ star Disha Patani often makes headlines for her glamorous roles and stunning appearances, her elder sister, Khushboo Patani, is emerging as an inspiring figure in her own right.





The recent incident that caught attention

A former Indian Army major, Khushboo recently caught the public eye for her heroic act of rescuing an abandoned baby girl, reminding the world that courage comes in many forms — on and off the battlefield.

A traumatic experience

According to Bollywood Shaadis, born in November 1991 in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Khushboo was a bright student from an early age. After completing her schooling at BBL Public School, she pursued engineering at DIT School of Engineering. Though she landed a job at a multinational company after graduation, a traumatic experience during college — including being stalked and followed by unknown men — deeply affected her. The incident shook her confidence and made her question her safety and purpose.



Life-turning moment

It was during a campus visit by a young Indian Army captain that Khushboo found her calling. One powerful moment — a slide showing a female officer — sparked something within her. She decided to prepare for the SSB (Services Selection Board) exams, cracked it on her first attempt, and joined the Indian Army as a lieutenant.

Khushboo served the country with pride and rose to the rank of major before retiring at the age of 34. But retirement didn’t mean slowing down — it marked the beginning of a new mission.

A certified fitness coach, spiritual healer, and more

As read in her Instagram bio, Khushboo is currently a certified fitness coach, spiritual healer, and TEDx speaker. She is active on social media and also practices tarot card reading, offering guidance to those facing challenges in relationships, careers, finances, and more. Her holistic approach to healing and empowerment has won her a dedicated following of around 1 million (as of April 21, 2025) on the photo-sharing platform.
