The 21-year-old hailing from Punjab, representing India at the 70th Miss Universe 2021, held in Eilat, Israel, brought home the same crown, 21 years after
Lara Dutta’s win in 2000.
Sandhu also has multiple pageant titles under her credit, including LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2021, and was crowned as Times fresh face Miss Chandigarh in 2017. She was the winner of Miss Max Emerging Star India in 2018 and became Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019. Unfortunately, she was short by 11 spots for the Femina Miss India in 2019.
Later, Sandhu represented India at Miss Universe 2021 candidate after representing Chandigarh at Miss Diva 202, held in Mumbai on September 30, 2021, and won big.
Apart from beauty pageants, she even starred in a few Punjabi films such as ‘Yaara Diyan Poo Baran’ and ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’.
Born and brought up in Chandigarh, Sandhu attended school and college in Chandigarh. Going by her social media post, she enjoys spending time with friends. She also has an interest in singing, acting, cooking and dancing. When it comes to fitness and outdoor activities, she prefers yoga, swimming and horse riding. When not working, Harnaaz turns into a writer as she enjoys writing couplets in Punjabi.
