When Vicky Kaushal admitted feeling intimidated by Shah Rukh Khan’s talent and dedication

Vicky Kaushal earlier opened up about his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and his own insecurities about measuring up to the Bollywood icon’s unmatched talent and dedication. Speaking about his experience working alongside Shah Rukh in Rajkumar Hirani’s much-anticipated film Dunki, Vicky reflected on how the superstar’s commitment and presence on set left him awestruck.

Vicky shared his thoughts during an appearance on Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show, where he revealed that Shah Rukh’s energy and focus were unlike anything he had witnessed before. “When I meet him, I realize how little I’m doing at this age. He just gives his hundred percent. If he’s talking to you, hundred percent of his being is talking to you. He’s just something else,” Vicky confessed.

The ‘Chhaava’ actor elaborated on the immense respect he gained for Shah Rukh after watching him work. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the world, Shah Rukh’s humility and dedication were striking. Vicky explained how Shah Rukh knew not only his own lines but also those of other actors in the film, showcasing his deep understanding of the script and his commitment to the project.




Sharing a memorable anecdote from the sets of ‘Dunki’, Vicky recounted a pivotal moment when Shah Rukh had to leave for urgent work in Delhi during a critical scene involving Vicky’s character. Although Vicky had to shoot the scene with a body double, Shah Rukh later sent him a heartfelt message apologizing for his absence and insisting on reshooting the scene to ensure it was perfect. However, after reviewing the footage, Shah Rukh decided that the scene didn’t require a retake, demonstrating his meticulous attention to detail and high standards.

For Vicky, working with Shah Rukh wasn’t just a professional highlight but also a learning experience. He emphasized that Shah Rukh’s ability to give his all, whether on set or in personal interactions, is what sets him apart as a true superstar.



Vicky admitted feeling both inspired and overwhelmed by Shah Rukh’s talent, saying, “He’s where he is because he gives his hundred percent to everything. He’s just something else.”
