' actor recently refused a Punjabi film that was offered to his pet.
A source says, "Varun is an animal lover and takes great care of them. When a big production house approached him to cast his pet dog in an important role in one of its Punjabi films, he flatly refused. The fee they were willing to pay was high, and it was a reputed banner. But, Varun didn't want his pooch to face harsh lights and long shooting hours because he is afraid it might take a toll on the pet's health."
