During a conversation with Simi Garewal, Sonam Kapoor candidly spoke about her love for luxury. She dismissed the idea of relying on a wealthy husband to meet her lavish desires, emphasizing that she prefers to work hard and afford the finer things in life on her own.

In the interview, Sonam reflected on her life before stepping into stardom. She shared that unlike many star kids born into luxury, she navigated her teenage years independently. Sonam also mentioned that her upbringing wasn’t rooted in lavishness, offering a different perspective on her early life.



In response to Sonam's candid revelations, Simi playfully labeled her as "high maintenance" and suggested she marry a wealthy man. Sonam quickly countered, stating she didn’t need a man to provide for her. She further discussed her love for branded clothes, revealing her parents never gave her expensive dresses growing up.



Sonam shared the story of her first designer bag, revealing that after completing the shoot for her debut film Saawariya, she was in London. With the money she earned from a ramp walk, she treated herself to her first luxury bag, marking a special moment in her journey to stardom.
