Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle has reportedly been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital following a cardiac arrest, raising concern among fans and the music fraternity. The 92-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital on April 11 and is currently receiving treatment in the emergency unit.

In her caption, Shruti Haasan opened up about how nervous she felt singing in front of the legendary singer.

"Just a picture of @shrutzhaasan singing in her uniform I LOVE THIS PICTURE I even remember this day and being so so nervous to sing in front of the legend herself! Such a beautiful memory - Thank you so much for sharing @asha.bhosle (sic)," the singer-actress wrote.

According to India Today reports, Asha Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted for immediate medical attention.

She is currently undergoing treatment under close supervision in the Emergency Medical Services unit. Dr Pratit Samdani has reportedly confirmed her admission and ongoing care at the hospital.


Amid speculation, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle shared a message addressing her health condition.

"My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively (sic)."
