When Shah Rukh Khan said he wanted to 'marry' Riteish Deshmukh for THIS reason

Shah Rukh Khan and Riteish Deshmukh's camaraderie is rooted in decades of friendship, with their bond extending beyond Bollywood parties and industry events. Riteish once recounted a hilarious moment from their relationship when the King Khan jokingly said he wanted to marry him.

In an old conversation with Mashable India, Riteish shared an anecdote about gifting Shah Rukh Khan a mobile phone when iPhones were a novelty in India. During the interview, he explained that he had managed to acquire two iPhones from abroad at a time when they weren’t widely available locally.


Knowing Shah Rukh’s enthusiasm for technology, Riteish sent one of them to him. What followed was an unexpected and funny phone call from the superstar. “By 11 o’clock, Shah Rukh called me and said, ‘Riteish, arey ye kya cheez hai yaar, ye toh mind-blowing hai. (Riteish, what is this? This is mind-blowing).’”

Riteish confirmed he had sent the gift, prompting Shah Rukh’s humorous response: “I want to tell you one thing. I am ready to marry you.” This left the 'Kakuda' actor amazed.

On the work front, Riteish is gearing up for major releases, including 'Raid 2' and 'Housefull 5'. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh, following the success of 'Jawan', is collaborating with Sujoy Ghosh on a movie titled 'King', which will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan in a key role.

Recent reports indicate that the 'Jawan' star recently declined an offer to star alongside Alia Bhatt in Dinesh Vijan's film 'Chamunda'. However, he has expressed interest in working with Maddock Films and Amar Kaushik on a unique, standalone project.
