Alia Bhatt the iconic actress, made a spectacular move to reclaim her throne post the release of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ impressing the audiences with her craft. While she had been vocal about different grinds, one of which had been lip-syncing a song after a long break from the films. To the rescue, she had none other than the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.
Lip-syncing tutorials by Shah Rukh Khan
During the post-release press conference for the film, the 32-year-old actress revealed that Khan shared some tips for lip-syncing the songs. “I was resuming work after a couple of months. For the first time, I was doing a proper after Ishq Wala Love. I realised that I could do better,” she said, according to Hindustan Times.
Furthermore, Bhatt chronicled that she asked Karan Johar for help, who suggested that she should ask the person who has mastered the art. When the ‘Jigra’ actress reached out to Shah Rukh Khan, he – without any hesitation – invited her to his house. As his daughter, Suhana Khan, wanted to learn the techniques as well, he provided the tutorials to both of them, asking Bhatt to bring the track [Tum Kya Mile] with her to his house.
Shah Rukh Khan generously helped Alia Bhatt
“He told me, 'Tu ghar aa ja (You just come home). Suhana also wants to learn. Toh tum dono ka saath mein tuition karenge! Toh tu gaana leke aa ja (I will give you both tuitions together, you just bring the song),’” she said in the press conference.
Recalling the practice sessions, Alia revealed that they rehearsed the lip-syncing for a couple of hours. She continued, “There's a whole lip sync portion that Shreya has sung beautifully. The way he broke it down...he even downloaded some apps. He said, 'Yeh baar baar karo (So this again and again)'. He learned the song by the end of it.”
Appreciating the actor, Bhatt said that the experience showed her how generous Shah Rukh Khan is. “He's so wonderful and ever willing to help! That experience will be irreplaceable in my life,” the actress concluded.
