When Ranbir Kapoor hoped Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh's baby would be his “Biggest fan”

Ranbir Kapoor once made a rather surprising statement on a TV show, expressing his wish to be the favourite actor of his former flame, Deepika Padukone's future child. In a video that has resurfaced and gone viral online, the actor opened up about his equation with the actress, saying, “I broke up with Deepika long ago, there’s nothing awkward.”

Speaking on an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 5, Ranbir appeared alongside Deepika's husband, Ranveer Singh. While on the hot seat, host Karan Johar asked the two stars about their dynamic, given their shared history with Deepika. While Karan hinted at possible awkwardness, Ranbir gracefully dismissed the idea, and went on to praise Deepika and Ranveer's relationship, saying they complement each other beautifully and have perfect chemistry.

"I hope they make some really awesome babies together… and I hope their babies like me as an actor and that I am their favourite actor," he said.

Deepika and Ranveer became parents to a baby girl last year. In a heartwarming Instagram post, they announced her birth saying, “Welcome baby girl. 8.9.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.”

They later went on to reveal that they named the little one Dua.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in the controversial action drama movie ‘Animal’ which turned out to be a superhit. Meanwhile Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were seen together in the cop action flick ‘Singham Again’ which was directed by Rohit Shetty.
