You’re saying I’m not going to dance in my brother’s baraat?” When Ranveer hesitantly replied with a ‘maybe’, Priyanka firmly stated, “Maybe nahi bhai! Of course. My cousins, my brothers… Family is most important to me. My fame is a byproduct of my job, it does not define me. My fame is not my job. It’s very clear to me. I’m not famous for a living, I work for a living and fame comes with it.”Her response won widespread praise at the time for reinforcing the significance of family over stardom. Now, with Ranveer facing backlash for his inappropriate remarks on India’s Got Latent, netizens are revisiting this old interaction, drawing comparisons between his approach to fame and Priyanka’s grounded perspective.
