When Neetu Kapoor felt her love story with Rishi Kapoor was more romantic than ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’

From being co-stars to becoming soulmates, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s love story has not only been endearing but also empowering. At Simi Grewal’s chat show in 2016, the couple opened up about their marital bond and it is nothing but inspiring.

Talking about her relationship with Rishi Kapoor, Neetu reportedly said that for them, romance is not just about candlelight dinners and going out and all of that.For the couple, it is more about togetherness and how you go on to nurture children and all. She also added that this is what is more romantic than ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
The couple, who met on the sets of ‘Zehreela Insaan’, fell in love with each other. They got married and had two beautiful kids –Riddhima and Ranbir.

Although their marriage faced roadblocks, Neetu refused to give up on their relationship. After Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and undergoing treatment in New York, Neetu was by his side at all times and often shared updates on Instagram.
Rishi left for his heavenly abode on April 30 after he breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital. The actor was battling with leukemia from past two years. He is survived by his wife Neetu, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

On the work front, he was to star in upcoming films, ‘The Intern’ co-starring Deepika Padukone and ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ co-starring Juhi Chawla.
