When Moushumi Chatterjee hit back at Rajesh Khanna when he was disrespectful and asked her if she's pregnant with Vinod Mehra's baby: 'Is it Rishi Kapoor...'

Rajesh Khanna and Moushumi Chatterjee have shared screen space in a movie called 'Prem Bandhan'. During the shoot of the film, Moushumi was pregnant after she married Jayant Mukherjee. As the actress was shooting the film during pregnancy, Rajesh Khanna was quite disrespectul towards her as he asked her if this is Vinod Mehra's child.

The actress had revealed in an interview with Lehren Retro, “Yes, it was Rajesh Khanna. He played dirty many times. Today, he is no more. I had even gone to see him during his last stages and he was praising me. He told my daughter, ‘Ma must be mad but we were all scared of her. She doesn’t believe in any nonsense.'

She also recalled how she had hit back at him immediately. “Yes, I gave him back. I asked him, ‘Is it Rishi Kapoor’s child or yours?" Moushumi said this, as she reffered to Rajesh and Dimple’s children. This left Rajesh Khanna speechless and how!"

In the same interview, Moushumi had recalled her wedding and how Vinod Mehra was actually the best man at the wedding with Jayant Mukherjee (Babu). She said, "Babu ke saath woh padhte the St Xavier’s mein. We lived in the same building. I was involved with everyone. I never lacked anything in my married life that I’d look out for something. ”

While today we speak about how actresses are working during their pregnancy, Moushumi was one of the heroines who was way ahead of her times. During that time, when the stereotyped existed that pregnancy means an end to an actress' career, Moushumi actually was shooting while she was pregnant.
