It's been over 20 years since John Abraham’s debut in cinema. He ventured into the industry in 2003 with ‘Jism’. Now 51, Abraham is celebrated not only for his remarkable physique but also for his versatile film career, both as an actor and a producer.

While he gained fame through commercial hits like ‘Dhoom’, ‘Dostana’, and ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, Abraham also ventured into more unconventional territory with critically acclaimed roles in films such as Deepa Mehta’s ‘Water’, ‘New York’, and ‘Shootout at Wadala’. He ventured into production with ‘Vicky Donor’ which was followed by the widely praised ‘Madras Café’.

Focused on Indian cinema, Abraham is determined to elevate the standards of Bollywood storytelling through his productions. In an earlier interview with IBTimes, John Abraham spoke about his inspiration from Sylvester Stallone and explains why he aspires to be the Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood.

When asked how he would like to be remembered, John Abraham expressed his desire to be seen as someone who could have a significant impact on Indian cinema and media, similar to Harvey Weinstein or Rupert Murdoch.

He stated that he would like ‘to be the Harvey Weinstein of India’. He further added that he would also like to be the Rupert Murdoch of this country, as he would like to make a difference to cinema and media and the voice of this country. He also stated that it is a long journey, and as a young producer if given an opportunity he will make that difference!
