When Anushka Sharma praised Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood success: 'I feel proud of them'
Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are some of the biggest names in Bollywood. While Anushka has made her mark in Hindi films, Priyanka and Deepika have also taken their talents to Hollywood and found great success. Even though Anushka has never worked in the West, she once spoke fondly about her fellow actresses and praised them for the way they have carried themselves on the international stage.
‘I feel proud of them’
Anushka, who shared screen space with Priyanka in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, didn’t hide her happiness when talking about their achievements. According to PTI, she had said, “It’s great that both Deepika and Priyanka are doing good work there. Priyanka has achieved so much, she is a known name there. I feel proud of them.”
No Hollywood dreams for Anushka
While many actors dream of making it big in Hollywood, Anushka made it clear that it was never really on her mind. She shared, “There is nothing like a dream as such (doing Hollywood films). I have never planned things in life, I believe in living life or doing things to the moment.”
She further said, “I have never planned my career here in Bollywood, so planning to do Hollywood films is a distant thing. You have to see how things come. There is no active work towards getting there (to West).”
Deepika Padukone’s busy days ahead
Deepika Padukone, who is already a known face in Hollywood, is set to achieve even more. She will soon have her name on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. That’s quite an honour and proves how far she has come. Deepika is also getting ready to start shooting for her next big film. It was recently announced that she has joined hands with director Atlee for his upcoming movie ‘AA22xA6’. This action entertainer also stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna and is expected to be a grand affair.
Priyanka Chopra’s global journey continues
Priyanka Chopra, meanwhile, is showing no signs of slowing down. She was most recently seen in ‘Heads of State’ alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She also has some exciting projects lined up.
Priyanka will soon start work on SS Rajamouli’s new film with Mahesh Babu, which fans are eagerly waiting for. On top of that, she is all set to play a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in ‘The Bluff’. And that’s not all, she will also return for the second season of her web series ‘Citadel’.
Anushka’s current focus is family
As for Anushka, she is enjoying a peaceful time with her family right now. After the birth of her second child, Akaay, she has been spending quality time with her husband Virat Kohli and their kids in London. Though she has taken a break from acting at the moment, fans are looking forward to seeing her on screen again.
