When Akshay Kumar was beaten up by his co-actress

He is the undisputed action hero and does complete justice to the 'Khiladi' title that has been bestowed upon him for over two decades now. Right from those impressive Martial Arts moves to doing some breath-taking stunts, superstar Akshay Kumar has been there, done that for over 25 years now. But not many know that Akshay was actually beaten up his female co-star in his debut film.

Now those who have followed Akshay's career know that his debut film was 'Saugandh' in 1991 and the actor wasn't shown been beaten by any woman in the film. So is it his first film that he signed, 'Deedar'? No, interestingly, the first film which Akshay appeared in was Mahesh Bhatt's directorial '

Aaj

' in 1987 which was a big dud at the box office. That film saw Akshay playing a Martial Arts instructor to actress Anamika Pal who was seen beating Akshay left, right and centre, while Akki is seen happily taking all the beating from his beautiful student.

'Aaj' which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt starred Kumar Gaurav, Raj Babbar, Smita Patil, Raj Kiran and Anamika Pal. Akshay, after a brief cameo in the film signed 'Deedar' opposite Karisma Kapoor which eventually happened to be his second release and 'Saugandh' which was the second film he signed, proved to be his big Bollywood debut.

Currently, on the work front, our very own 'Khiladi' Kumar is keenly awaiting the release of his next thriller, 'Rustom' which hits the screens on August 12. Meanwhile, watch the video below:-
