When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid tribute to her ‘dearest Chintu uncle’ Rishi Kapoor with heartwarming PICS: So much love for you
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor shared a profound bond that transcended their professional collaborations, marked by deep mutual respect and affection. Their bond was definitely enduring as 'Aa Ab Laut Chalen,' the only movie directed by Rishi Kapoor, where Aishwarya played the lead role opposite Akshaye Khanna and the film was produced under RK Films. This connection continued to flourish over the years, as both families became intertwined through friendships and shared experiences.
Aishwarya Rai had taken to Instagram to honor the memory of her "dearest Chintu uncle," Rishi Kapoor. In her heartfelt tribute, she shared two cherished photographs featuring herself, Rishi, Neetu Kapoor, and their families, capturing moments filled with joy and warmth. In her tribute, Aishwarya emphasized how special Rishi was to her family: "There will never be another... just TOO SPECIAL.
She wrote, "So much love for you... and from you my dearest Chintu uncle... ALWAYS... so heartbroken... May your Soul Rest in Peace God Bless. There will never be another... just TOO SPECIAL.. and the memories... Precious... Miss you and Love you Forever…”.
The first photo shows Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan alongside Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, all smiling brightly. The second image captures a tender moment with Aishwarya’s daughter Aaradhya Bachchan and Rishi's granddaughter Samara Sahni, further emphasizing the familial bond they shared. These images were taken during their visit to New York when Ash and Abhishek spent time with the Kapoors while Rishi was undergoing treatment for leukemia.
Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and sought treatment in New York City for nearly a year. He returned to India in 2019 but continued to face health challenges until his passing on April 30, 2020. His death shocked many in the film industry, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances and cherished relationships.
