REMEMBERING FUN TIMES: Joey Matthews (TOI Photo) Celebrating Friendship Day, DT gets a few of the city’s celebs to talk about the one special friend in their life and the fun moments they’ve shared. Ranna Gill, Designer
My friend Dipika and I have had a great deal of fun together, like travelling to Italy and Rome and then shopping like crazy. Dipika loves coffee and when we’re together, we have it, I think, every few minutes. Weight is a hot topic of discussion between us and we spend most of our time discussing workouts and the kgs lost or gained! Donovan Wodehouse, Model and painter My best friend Mohita Bhattnagar can’t stand grasshoppers. Once she came to my house and there were millions of grasshoppers outside in the garden. To make matters worse, I pulled out a few blades of grass and told her they were grasshoppers. She sure went mad screaming. Of course, after I had my bit of fun, I let her in on the truth and she was ready to kill me.
Joey Matthews, Model Anisha and Bhavana are my best friends and the three of us are a crazy lot. Once, all of us went out after a fashion show and decided to get one of our other friends drunk. The three of us put water instead of tequila in our glasses, and had about 10-11 ‘shots’, while that poor friend of ours kept on having tequila. After a while, she was completely drunk... It was absolutely crazy!” Nikita Anand, Actress Once my best buddy Sameer and I went to have some ice cream, after which he drove me back home. Since his ice cream was still left, I told him to finish it and only then drive on. But he practically pushed me out of the car. When my brother, who was standing there, asked me what the matter was, I said, ‘Just count five and the car will stop. And that will be because the ice cream will be all over the dashboard’. We both did that, and sure enough the car stopped and an angry Sameer got out of the car. Peter Punj, Industrialist Tim, who lives overseas, is my best friend. He is one of the few people I have complete faith in. He is extremely hardworking and an excellent human being. I can’t really remember one incident that was more memorable than others – we were wingmen for each other and there are so many incidents that have made ours a most memorable friendship.
