What all Varun Dhawan learnt from John Abraham
When Varun Dhawan was asked in a press conference if he has copied John Abraham in the film 'Dishoom', he said that he doesn't copy anyone but was inspired from him for the 'underwear scene.' He said, 'I don't copy anyone. I am younger to all of them and brought up during 90s watching films of Salman bhai, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and John. If you ask me if I have copied John in this film I can tell you about one scene in this film we shot in orange underwear, there John was an inspiration because in every fourth film we can see him in trunks, that was fun.' He knows about the safety measure and is very clear about that and has knowledge. He is very calm during the action scenes and he is not very stressed but very alert. He would calm me down and he has been very helpful to me as a co-star.'Varun also said that he decided to do the film because of its subject and not just because of his brother was directing it. 'I did this film for its story. If we look around us there are so many terror attacks, be it Bangladesh, France, Turkey. In today's time security fears are on an all-time high and if we imagine that there is an attack on any of our top cricketers and is kidnapped, this is not something which is unbelievable, so this film is set in today's scenario that if such a thing happens today how the government of India, Middle East would work together. Film's tone is very serious, there are angles of match-fixing, bookies as well that are based on real life incidents. This is the topic that will interest everyone,' he said.
