We maximise value through innovative resolutions and leave no stone unturned to accommodate and solve problems with the best of solutions for our clients.
How did the transition to film production happen? With professionals in financial engineering, wed been advising media companies for strengthening their operations at various levels; and were able to turn around quite a few into profit-making organisations. Were a full-fledged corporate house under the banner of Harward Group, with a complete entertainment division with professionals to deal with production, creatives, events, distribution etc. We, under the banner of Harward Entertainments have stepped into the making of the first ever DVD project with the classical legends and international artists of India. Why did you choose an off-beat subject for your debut film? With Pranali The Tradition, in the brand-building process of Harward Group, we wanted to make a film based on a social issue, and decided that the devdasi system would make a very hard-hitting and different subject. A different marketing strategy has been devised for this film?Since our plan was to concentrate on the films content and production value, a marketing strategy was designed to portray this as a different film. We also wanted to create a brand-building of the company, so, we decided on a subject that will be noticed and appreciated. How did you decide upon Kailash Kher as music director?Kailash, besides being a good singer, comes across as one who has a lot of knowledge about realistic singing and music which is emotional and sensitive. So, we decided to give him a break in our film. Pandit Birju Maharaj, we hear, has also been roped in to supervise the Tandav dance in the film? Who else could have done a better job? When the director of our film, Hirdesh Kamble, approached him with the script, he was overwhelmed and immediately agreed to supervise the Tandav dance in it. Whats more, hes also lent his golden voice to it. What made you decide to relaunch Nargis after her first film Garam Masala? After her audition, we felt Nargis had the inherent vision and the dedication to act in the film. She agreed to represent the trauma faced by devdasis, and has shown conviction and interest in essaying the role so well. Tell us about your music company Harward Music, thats just been launched. Since we were very keen to enter into brand building in music with the help of inbuilt strategies, technologies and challenging personnel, were optimistic in emerging as one of the big achievers in the music industry with efficient use of our own resources. What about Harwards future plans?Five films will be on the floors from June 2008. These are, Desi Marriage, Speed Breaker, Pretty Flower, Ticket to Bollywood and Misty Eyes. With focus on media and entertainment be it television (fiction/non-fiction/reality), films, events (commercial and corporate), Harward Entertainments promises to be your one-stop shop for all kinds of requirements. I believe leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.
