’ has suddenly gone viral. So, what’s special in the video? Well, the short clip shows Aishwarya recreating the same scenes with actors Vikram and Prithviraj in ‘Raavan’ and ‘Raavanan’ respectively.

The video has made everyone talking about Aishwarya’s acting skills. Fans and followers couldn’t just stop gushing over the stunning beauty of the actress and her almost perfect performance.

An Instagram user commented: “For the longest time I was hoping someone would make side by side clips of Raavan and Raavanan. The fact that Mani Sir made the entire movie twice and each scene looks so perfectly similar albeit with different actors is truly fascinating to me!” Another user said: “Same actress…but aish looks much younger with prithvi…such a range.” Some even called Aishwarya the ‘queen’ as one wrote: “Only a Queen could.
We have seen many directors releasing their films dubbed in different languages. But in 2010, what Nationa Award-winning director Mani Ratnam did was something extraordinary. He had successfully mastered an experiment releasing ‘Raavanan’ in Tamil and ‘Raavan’ in Hindi on the same day. The difference between ‘Raavanan’ and ‘Raavan’ was that instead of dubbing the movie in two different languages or giving subtitles, Ratnam decided to reshoot the movie with different actors. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen as the lead heroine in both versions, actors Vikram and Prithviraj played the male leads in the two films.

In the Tamil version, while Vikram was seen as the antagonist and Prithviraj played a character inspired by Lord Ram, in the Hindi version, Vikram was cast as the character inspired by Lord Ram while Abhishek Bachchan was seen as Raavan. Interestingly, Aishwarya played the character based on Sita in both versions.
