Watch: Deepika Padukone steals the show at 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage' Mexico premiere

'xXx: Return of Xander Cage' premiered in Mexico City on Thursday night and it was India's sweetheart Deepika Padukone who stole the show. The actress, who celebrated her 31st birthday on January 5, was the star of the evening. Everyone from fans, co-stars and even presenters on the red carpet made sure to greet the actress and convey their birthday wishes.
On her first trip to Mexico, to kickstart movie promotions, Deepika stunned in a simple yet elegant pantsuit as she walked down the red carpet.Speaking at the event, she said, 'I really couldn't have asked for a better birthday. To be in Mexico City, to be in Mexico for the first time and also to kickstart the promotion of 'xXx' and to see this amazing crowd and fans is really amazing.




After taking her time to strut down the red carpet, the actress was greeted by co-star Vin Diesel who went live on his Facebook handle. The 'Fast and Furious' star made the evening even more special for Deepika by getting their large audience to sing along to the birthday song at the premiere.



The cast and crew also threw the star a surprise bash that included a small cake cutting session.


Deepika and Vin will soon be heading to India next week to attend the grand premiere in Mumbai. The film hits Indian theatres on January 13, a week prior to its worldwide release.
