Veteran lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar had created a storm when he had talked about the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks roaming freely in Pakistan at the Faiz Festival in Lahore in February this year. While several Pakistani citizens had expressed their outrage over Javed's remark, former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram has now shared his thoughts on the same.

When he was asked about the comments made by Javed at the festival, Wasim told a news portal that he would not like to comment on political subjects while he is promoting his upcoming film. However, he said that he would find positive things to say if he was invited to another country.

During the event, Javed had said that Pakistanis should not feel offended when India talks about the 2008 carnage. He also mentioned that India has warmly welcomed Pakistani artists like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mehdi Hasan but Pakistan has never held a single show of late legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Wasim is all set to make his screen debut with his upcoming film Money Back Guarantee, which also marks the debut of his wife Shaniera Akram. The movie also stars Fawad Khan, Hina Dilpazir, Ali Safina, Wasim Akram, Shayan Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Gohar Rasheed, and Jan Rambo. It is slated to release on April 21.
