Warina
revealed how Bollywood has always been a major part of her life. “A half of

knows basic Hindi because everyone religiously follows Bollywood. For the longest time, wherever we went, my mother made sure she had a cable connection because she didn’t want to miss her
Ekta Kapoor serials. I grew up watching ‘Sonpari’ and ‘Shararat’. When I came to India is when I formally started communicating in Hindi,” she had said during an interview with Bombay Times.
In another interaction with BT, she spoke about Bollywood’s influence on fashion in Afghanistan. “My
naani would seek fashion inspiration from the films she saw. She would stitch clothes for my mother and aunts, imitating fashion from Bollywood movies. Even today, if you ask anyone there about bell bottoms, they won’t know what you’re talking about. But, if you said Amitabh Bachchan pants, any Afghani would give you exactly what you seek. That is the influence of Bollywood in my country,” she added.
On the work front, Warina featured in dance songs like ‘Akh Lad Jaave’, ‘Chogada’ and Badshah’s ‘She Move It Like’.
