Delhi-based film producer Sandiip Kapur, whose projects include “Jugaad” and the beleaguered “Naughty@40”, is going to start the shooting of his next movie, “Pranam Walekum”, in August. The shooting will begin on August 14 in Bhor, on the outskirts of Mumbai. It’s a comedy, and actor Sanjay Mishra will be making his debut as director. Will he be shooting the movie in Delhi too? “So far, there are no plans to shoot in Delhi.
We have already finalized the locations in Mumbai. The auditions have already begun and we have finalized 12 character roles for the movie. There is no ‘lead actor’ as such in the movie. Each character plays a different role in the story. We are planning to rope in many fresh faces. As the story is based on communal harmony, we also intend to do hold auditions in Pakistan and get some well-known actors from there,” says Sandiip.
He is producing the movie with Bhushan Sharma and Amit Chauhan, while Amit Mishra’s composing the music. “Work on the sets has already started, and the film should be on floors in another six months. It’ll be a 50 day shooting schedule in Mumbai,” adds Sandiip.
