Vishal Bhardwaj to wrap his next flick with Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri soon; reports of a big action scene spark anticipation- deets inside

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has been fully focused on his next film with Shahid Kapoor since the start of this year, and now, the project is close to completion. Reportedly, the filmmaker began the final schedule of the action thriller, reportedly titled 'Romeo in Spain' last week. This 10-day shoot will feature a big action sequence and a dance number, after which the film will be wrapped up. The movie also stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead.

Vishal's film action sequence filmed in Malaga

The team recently shot an elaborate action sequence in Malaga over the past few days, according to a Mid-day report. “The action scene, shot with Shahid and several stunt artistes, makes use of Spain’s rugged terrain. The song, on the other hand, is vibrant and features the lead pair. The actors will begin filming the dance number on Friday with a large ensemble. This schedule will end on August 25, after which Vishal sir will dive into the film’s post-production. The VFX and initial post-production work have already begun in Mumbai,” mentioned the report.

Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj reunite for their fourth film

Slated for release on December 5, the upcoming action thriller marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj. The actor-director duo has previously delivered memorable films together, including 'Kaminey' (2009), 'Haider' (2014), and 'Rangoon' (2017).

This new outing, reportedly titled 'Romeo', promises to be a slick, high-octane thriller that combines Bhardwaj’s signature storytelling with Shahid’s intensity on screen, raising high expectations among fans.

Shahid Kapoor's upcoming projects

Shahid Kapoor has some exciting projects lined up. He will be returning with 'Farzi Season 2', the crime thriller series on Amazon Prime Video, where he will reprise his much-loved role. Alongside this, Shahid will also be seen in 'Cocktail 2', the romantic comedy sequel that pairs him with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Homi Adajania, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit 'Cocktail'.

Triptii Dimri's work front

The actress was last seen playing the role of Vidhi in 'Dhadak 2' (sequel to the 2018 hit 'Dhadak'), directed by Shazia Iqbal. Up next, she will be seen in 'Animal Park' (2025–2026), the much-awaited sequel to 'Animal'. The film will bring her back on screen with Ranbir Kapoor, and under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga
