Vishakha takes a break from playing ‘serious’ roles

Vishakha Singh, who was noticed for her performance in Fukrey and Ankur Arora Murder Case, will play a loud and brash Sikhni in the upcoming flick, Bajatey Raho. The actress says that the role was easy as she is quite like her character in real life.
Says she, “In my previous films, I was shown as a serious person, so I thought playing a Sikhni would be fun. But the toughest task was riding a scooter through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk.I had great difficulty maintaining my balance,” she recalls.
Vishakha says her friends were surprised to see her in Ankur… “They were like, ‘Is this really our Vishakha’? They could not believe that I could be this serious.”
With two releases and an upcoming one, Vishakha is happy. “The response has been good and I have also signed a comedy to be made by Vikram Bhatt’s banner. We’ll start shooting for it soon. I am also doing four films down South,” she says.
