Indian cricketer Virat Kohli got into protective dad mode after he spotted members of the Australian media attempting to film his children, Vamika and Akaay, without seeking prior permission.
A video on X sees the cricketer visibly irked by the shutterbugs and not holding back while confronting the lot. The clip going viral online shows Kohli sternly telling reporters, “(When I am) With my kids, I need some privacy. You can’t film without asking me."
The clip was posted with the caption, “Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Virat Kohli was seen confronting the Australian media at Melbourne Airport due to cameras allegedly being directed at his family. He requested them not to click his kids without permission.”
Virat and wife Anushka Sharma, are known for fiercely guarding their personal lives, especially photos of their kids. The two have not only pleaded with fans, but also asked the media to refrain from clicking or posting photos of their son and daughter online.
Since the birth of their son in February, Viral and Anushka have been spending time in London. The couple reportedly moved overseas to focus on their family life and enjoy a quiet life away from the glitz and glamour of Bollywood.
Reports suggest that the family plans to settle in London permanently. Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, confirmed the move to Dainik Jagran, stating, “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to leave India and shift very soon. Right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket.”
