Vipul Shah and Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Commando 3’ to be directed by Aditya Datt

Known for doing his own stunts and following an impressive fitness regime, Vidyut Jammwal is best known for his roles in the popular ‘Commando’ franchise. While the first film hit screens in 2013, the second installment came out in 2017. And earlier this year, Vipul Shah, who produced the first two films, revealed that he was interested in making the third film with Vidyut in the lead role and Adah Sharma as his leading lady.
Sources say that while Vidyut has been finalised for ‘Commando 3’, Adah will not be a part of it. The makers are looking for bigger name to star opposite Vidyut and there will be several new additions to the cast. The casting will take a couple of more weeks because the makers want to ensure that they get things right. In fact, director Aditya Datt, who made ‘Table No 21’ has been signed on to direct this film. Although Vipul Shah is yet to make any official announcement, sources say that the makers will soon announce ‘Commando 3’ in a big way. Shah recently finished the shooting of ‘Namaste England’, which features Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles while Vidyut Jammwal is busy filming Junglee Pictures’ ‘Junglee’ and Mahesh Manjrekar’s next.
