Vindu Dara Singh recalls father Dara Singh's advice on his interfaith marriage with ex-wife and Tabu's sister, Farah Naaz - Deets inside
Vindu Dara Singh is a prominent face in the Indian entertainment industry. The actor tied the knot with Farah Naaz, sister of Tabu, in 1996. They welcomed their son, Fateh Randhawa, in 1987.
Vindu recently appeared on Siddharth Kannan's YouTube channel, where he delved into various aspects of his life. He candidly discussed his divorce from his first wife, Farah Naaz, and revealed that his late father, Dara Singh, had advised him to carefully consider marrying someone from a different religious background.
Elaborating further, Vindu acknowledged the wisdom in his father's advice and acknowledged the shift in dynamics when religion becomes a factor in relationships. He emphasized that if one partner becomes more religious over time, it can create significant challenges for the other individual in the relationship.
Vindu reflected on his marriage with Farah Naaz, highlighting both its positives and negatives. Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude for their son, Fateh, whom he cherishes dearly. Vindu fondly recalled the beautiful memories shared with Farah and disclosed that they have maintained a friendship over the years.
Vindu revealed that his ex-wife, Farah, never cared about religion and even used to smoke when none of his family members ever held a cigarette. However, after going for Hajj, which is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Vindu recalled that his ex-wife turned into a completely different woman, after which things started to go downhill for the ex-couple.
Vindu also revealed that following their divorce, his ex-wife prevented him from seeing their son, Fateh, for six months. Despite this initial challenge, Vindu admitted to having a forgetful nature and expressed that currently, there is no animosity between them. He commended Farah, acknowledging her as a wonderful mother.
Recently, Vindu had slammed the makers of Om Raut's 'Adipurush' for adapting the epic Ramayana and expressed that they were nowhere close to the iconic TV show created by Ramanand Sagar. Speaking about his father's portrayal of Hanuman in the show, the actor had said, "Nobody ever can recreate what he did. He made history. We all try. But when we try we do it to our best of our capabilities and to the best of our knowledge of the mind. We don’t try to change it here. What they have done is shameful. They can’t touch my father’s legacy. Hanuman ki punch bhi nahi hai. They are not even close."
