Vindu Dara Singh opens up about his bond with Ajay Devgn as he joins Son of Sardaar 2 shoot: 'Ajay is like family to me' - Exclusive

Ajay Devgn has begun shooting for the much-anticipated sequel to the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardaar. Vindu Dara Singh recently confirmed that he has joined the film's stellar cast and has already started filming his scenes.

"Yes, I am working with him, shooting with him," Vindu told ETimes about sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar 2.

Speaking about his close friendship with Ajay, Vindu told us, "Ajay and I have been friends since childhood. Although the title remains the same, the story is different. It’s a fantastic, very funny film. So funny, people will laugh until they go crazy. Fans have been waiting for Son of Sardaar 2 for years, and finally, it’s coming next year. You all will love it. Ajay is like family to me."




Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film has an extensive shoot schedule in the UK, followed by India. The movie also stars Mrunal Thakur, Chunky Pandey, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar in key roles. Sanjay Mishra recently joined the cast, replacing Vijay Raaz, while Ravi Kishan stepped in for Sanjay Dutt after his visa was rejected.



The original Son of Sardaar, directed by Ashwani Dhir, featured Ajay alongside Sonakshi Sinha and told the story of Jassi, a man who returns to his ancestral village in Punjab and becomes embroiled in a family feud. The film, known for its blend of humor, action, and romance, received mixed reviews but was praised for its lively performances and engaging soundtrack. Vindu and Sanjay Dutt also played key roles in the film.
